i have been experiencing pain in my right breast and it has definitely gotten bigger than the left one. it has always hurt but does more sound round the side. two weeks ago i went to see the dr who examined me. as she prodded around it hurt in a certain place, sort of where the cleavage is but then in a bit. when you press it now it really hurts. the other boob is hurting a bit too but just generally i think. anyway, i have been in so much pain, i sleep on my front and it really hurts then and when i take off my bra, my right boob in particular feels so heavy and hurts. i went back to docs again today as was so concerned. she didnt even examine me which i find incredible. she asked me if there was any redness or lumps to which i said no. my husband said that i should have asked if she wanted to look but i didnt think. my period is due this week so she said to see how if goes after that as it could be hormonal but it was the same two weeks ago! she said to just continue taking ibuprofen. i pushed to see someone private through company medical insurance so luckily i am going on monday. i just cannot believe how the doc dismissed it without even seeing it to, i am so upset.

I went to docs years ago about a pain I used to get on right side of chest, they didnt examine me and asked if it i worse when i'm due on, thinking about it it was and still is. They reckon its an inflamed ovory and that ovaries are connected somehow to the pain. When people have optomic pregnancies thats one of the signs.
i asked similar last year when my breasts were so sore and painful, they felt like they were ripping. I was examined (like you were) and GP found nothing. I was told to wait for another period and see if it settled after that, which id did start to and took a further 4 weeks for pain to go completely.
It sounds as if your GP is doing same as mine did, but if you feel a private consultation is required then thats your own choice.

Please remember too that if you press anywhere on the boobs near the breast bone and keep pressing to see if it hurts then the likelihood is that it will because it will create bruising!.
I have pain which seemed to come from my breast which was in fact breastbone and ribs which is caused through my arthritic and painful spine. I too was concerned about the breast pain and kept pressing on the painful bit. I don't do it anymorer.
I am not saying that you have the same problem as me, just that if you keep pressing and testing for painful areas you will not only find some you will make it worse!!
