Is the title the Queen has bestowed on Phil the Greek.

Why not Prince Consort? What has Phil done wrong?

Sounds something out of Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore....

Zeule perhaps, i don't know enough about him, except i read that his wife had an affair or more than one?
but the fact that The Royal Family, particularly The Queen bring in money, from tourists, who flock to Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, Windsor Castle, and many places around the country, and businesses who get a royal warrant. You also have to give her credit for going to Ireland recently, perhaps if she had sooner, we might have had peace talks a lot sooner.
Most countries don't have a monarchy now or never had one, but ours is still respected around the world, and unless someone can come up with something better, they will stay.
ho is going to London to see Blair, no one.

with all due respect, whilst also not wanting to swap Constitutional Monarchy for another level of superannuated Politicos
it's still fair to acknowledge the Royal Family includes a number of dodgy characters.

A friend who is a senior naval officer had duties for many years that involved keeping certain royals away from children and service cadets.
at least learn to spell, monotonous.
same goes for politicians, churchmen, scout leaders, so what's the point.
<<so what's the point>>

just because others are also 'dodgy' doesn't make it ok.

'the point' is recognising it, stopping it if possible and not simply pretending it doesn't happen
I think that you misunderstood. What was your point i should have said. Child abuse isn't something i would make light of, but i was referring to the fact that its not just limited to Royalty. How to stop it, almost impossible i would think, and with the internet it seems a good deal easier. And even when caught sentences are light, and they just go out and do it again.
I wouldn't get out of bed to vote for a head of state who wields no political power. Whatever criticisms one may have of the current Royal House it is the symbolism of the crown, and not the person wearing it, which gives legitimacy to our system of government. This country is to all intents and purposes a republic, and has been since 1689, which is reflected in the person of the monarch. To quote a hackneyed cliché, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
One did spell it right its in regionalised format.
