Saudi Woman To Be Lashed For Driving
http://www.bbc.co.uk/...-middle-east-15079620
Only 10? It'll take more than that to instill decent driving skills into her.....!
Seriously, how can their government give Saudi women the right to vote yet continue to enforce such draconian laws?

More women take to wearing it i reckon in UK, because of the way it is viewed by the west, even if they are born in UK.
As to lashing, stoning, and any form of punishment, seems barbaric no matter the reason.

Seriously though this isn't about driving.
There has been a bit of a build up of women defying the law and driving in Saudi - normally the police make them sign a pledge not to do it and let them go.
Obviously someone has decided that this civil disobedience has gone far enough and decided to try to set an example.
We will have to see whether this discourages them or whether there is a mass reaction

Those burqa-shrouded women who actually have a choice in the matter have, in the main, adopted it in recent years as a political symbol.
//if a country is practising evil and sickening laws and behaviours, then it is every HUMAN BEINGS right to oppose it! not sit back and shrug and say..." well its just their way"//
Absolutely right, Joko.
Sandy, some of them do wear sexy undies beneath their burqas. You should see them at the stalls in the markets of Cairo sorting through the piles of cheap and very garish frillies!! Red with tassles seems popular!!
