The public sector is an overhead. It doesn't produce anything. In times of crisis, this is where the axe falls.
The majority lower paid staff do essential work, and get a decent pension and security as deferred salary - they must be protected.
It's top heavy - there are too many managers with cushy, well paid jobs.
These jobs have blossomed under Labour's micro management, and they don't sack themselves when it comes to cuts.
Public Service pensions are run as a gigantic unfunded Ponzi scheme, and like all such frauds, it eventually has to face reality.
We have to dump managers, not workers.
But how do we do it?
