No, I still don't wish there was a hell. I find the idea that vengeance will somehow make up for the rape of a baby a little repugnant. And no, before I'm inevitably accused of it, I'm not saying they shouldn't have a severe punishment for the crime - they should be. I just take issue with the weird and primitive justification for it based exclusively on vengeance and making ourselves feel better.

I'd like to restate what I said in another thread about the importance of gaining a greater understanding of why exactly people do things like this. However I imagine it won't get a terribly sympathetic hearing.

Like I said before, I find it hard to believe the story is as exactly as reported. If it were I don't think the adults would even be considered for bail.

I woudl think it's better to wait than speculate.

The people who do this sort of thing have usually been abused themselves. But you can suffer abuse as a child and not go on to harm others when you're an adult. So, it's no excuse.

I saw it on Yahoo News but as I said no details just the bare facts. But someone on here has mentioned it'a in the Sun as well.

As I don't work for any of the newspapers I can't give any answer to that other than the Sun would have been printed in the very early hours. The BBC also state they are on bail. This just leads me to further believe that there may be something different about the story than the info reported.
