Whilst she may be innocent in the eyes of the law, that does not mean she did not have anything to do with Kercher's death. She was acquitted because of bodged DNA evidence and not because she was an innocent victim of the Italian Judicial System. She ultimately benefitted from their inepititude.
The only credible witness in the whole trial was Lumumba and he had this to say:

Innocent victim maligned by the media? Oh please...

It strikes me as browbeating and high-handedness,these people who think they have the Law on their side,to look down their nose at people who may have reservations at the way the Knox trial was conducted.
Not once on this thread did I use the "G*****" word,I ,and others, merely intimated that Knox knows more than she is letting on.I think the crowds outside the Court,in Perugia,on the night of her acquittal felt the same way!

its over, whether its a miscarriage of justice or not its over with, she will release a book and then disappear into obscurity (hopefully)
nothing that happens now will bring meredith back, I feel its a pointless exercise to go over old media articles that may or may not be actual fact or supposition.

atrollope - i am not aware that anyone on here is trying to assume the moral high ground because anyone doubts a conviction in any case anywhere.
The issue with this post - and subsequent supprting posts - appears to be the willingness of people with no knowledge except that fed to them by the media, to assume that Amanda Knox has 'got away' with something.
This conclusion appears to be largely based on the media perception of this woman, and reported behaviour, neither of which should be strong enough to gainsay a legal process.
She 'may' know more than she has said, she 'may' have been connected in some way, but the fact remains, in the eyes of the law she is Not Guilty, and as i have prevoously posted, no amount of tutting and muttering is going to alter that.

I believe I read somewhere that the prosecuting detective was found guilty previously of fabricating evidence against a group of other innocent people...
how was he allowed to continue with another case? let alone a murder case>
The poor family of Meredith have suffered such a lot - and an italian police system has let them down again... by focusing on prosecuting apparently innocent people!

the business of this other person lumbumba (sp) - well to be honest if there was the possiblity of me going down for life for a murder i did not commit i wouldnt be all that keen on helping clear the only other person in the frame either!...
itd be either me or him, im afraid, and in that circumstance, hes as much right to go down yet be innocent, as i am.
as for all the other stuff - so shes weird, a bit sociopathic, has no sense of appropriateness and little compassion... doesnt make her a killer... maybe she has some mild form of aspergers or autism that makes it hard for her to be quite on the same wavelength as everyone else?
perhaps she naively believed shed be found innocent and therefore wasnt that worried.
maybe she gets that kind of weird nervous laugh or smile that people get at funerals and bad moments that they cant help - lots of people do...
maybe she was beginning to suffer a breakdown through stress of it all and starting to go a bit mad, like blanking out reality and retreating into her own little world.
4 years is a long time to dwell...
who knows...
