Be interesting to see what happens to JT, especially as Luis Suarez got eight games for abusing Patrice Evra.

You also forgot to say, "Go and have a trawl through all the appropriate AB topics, and you may finally come across mention about it on Chatterbank".
Which when one thinks about it, is perhaps the best place to have a chatter about this trivial affair.

/// AOG, but if someone said it to a man in the street, and it caused a fight, and that man was killed would that make it
right. ///
Obviously not, but by the same ruling if another person called someone a 'Ginger Nut' which could also cause a fight, and that man was also killed, it would equally not make it right, regardless of the colour of his skin.
/// Consider what was said to Stephen Lawrence before his death.///
I wondered when his name would be brought up, yes a very horrible and disturbing case, but it mattered not what was said to him before he was so brutely killed, he was still killed.
But he wasn't the first person to be killed by a cowardly mob, and he won't be the last, once again a life is a life no matter what the colour of their skin.

/// This is now a criminal prosecution. Hardly trivial. Unless you think racist abuse is harmless and victimless. ///
I am not arguing that it is not a criminal prosecution.
And Terry has in fact broken the law, but there are many laws that others have said are ridiculous, and I equality say this law is one of them.
Has his victim been physically abused? NO.
Is his footballing career over because of this verbal assault? NO.
Has his victim been mentally scarred? NO.
Will he have nightmares for years to come over this incident?. NO.
Surely a young burly footballer is made of stronger stuff than to be physically or mentally disturbed by a bit of name calling, I am certain he can give as good has he receives.
