Morning,

I'm hoping to have a way for us to "quote" one another today.

Questions:

1. How would you like the quotes to look? Italics? Bold? A different colour? All suggestions will be considered.

2. How would you like to implement it? We need a trigger to tell the system "this is a quote". This trigger will be typed before and after the quote so the system to knows where to begin and end. Some options:

{quote}message to be "quoted"{quote}
[Q]message to be "quoted"[Q]
*message to be "quoted"*

It is possible we could put some pretty quote marks around the quote. Who would be in favour of this?

Maybe like this:

Try again Umm

Put [ i ] without the spaces at either end D97
Fascinating
Ah! I see if you add a space after the
then the quote is not indicated as a quote. But without a space gives the
at both ends of the quote... interesting :-}
So what am I doing wrong?
it worked the second time

How come it worked the first time?

The second instance contained a: '

Which I had not accounted for! I'm playing catch-up.
Leaning is OK

Don't like the red, but you said you are getting rid of that. I would still prefer black (or grey, but that might make it more difficult to read).

You know what to expect now Ed, loads of posts asking why people put [] in their posts

I went for a really dark blue Gromit
Hopefully members will be able to see it without really seeing it.
Ah, I got it! Bet I forget though when the time comes to use it.

Looks grey to me...
This is a test, but I think the italic has its own line so you cannot italise just one word in a sentence.

I wonder ...

I'm using a
to style it currently, which seems to have this property. I'm looking for a way to get around it.
is no good, I've tried this already.
