He was apparently reversing his car around a bend. If you hold the door open and lean out to see the back end of the car you could fall out and the car could slide back over your body. It is probable but bearing in mind the previous suicide attempts/overdoses/drugs excesses who knows what state of mind he was in.

how very odd. I don't know anyway who has the door open to reverse, stick your head out the window maybe. hhhmmm
He has attempted suicide twice recently and this sounds like another attempt to me.
i was thinking the very same thing!
it seems easy when you are in idiot.
Wait a minute, did he run down/over himself?
Question Author
apparantly so. Seems to have fallen out of the car while he was reversing as he had the door open. What gets me is that if he was reversing, he cant have been going that fast, so even if he did fall under the wheels the damage would not have been as bad as they are suggesting. Now, im not sure, maybe my car is just very rare but in general, when I take my foot off the accelerator (or clutch when reversing) it tends to slow down/stop. I just don't get it
an automatic car will keep going when your foot's not on the pedal. (I've no idea if he had one, or if it would keep going fast enough to run him over; but it doesn't seem entirely impossible.)
...but as for committing suicide by running yourself over.... well, I can't help thinking that if I were suicidal I'd think of a more efficient and less complicated way. Shooting yourself... in the back... with a bow and arrow...
Publicity stunt that has gone wrong he is about to release new album heard of driving over the cat or dog or even yer loved ones but not yourself clever Brian.

yeah if it wasnt a publicity stunt it now is, as i was just listening to radio 1 and his agent said it wasnt a sucide attempt just a daft accident and gave radio 1 his new material to play so they could tell he isnt in a sucidal state of mind.....you wonder what these wannabe celebs think of next!!

Incredible! I must say that is sounds extremely stupid and impossible! Maybe he should try the arrow in the back next time he wants some attention ;0)
I have an automatic car.  If you take your foot off the accelerator it still moves, but only very slowly.

You lot are all really mean and unsympathetic!  Poor guy is clearly going through I really tought time.  Whether or not he "brought it upon himself" he's evidently extremely depressed - to the point of attempts at suicide.  Brain Harvey may be a bit of a joke, but suicide and depression aren't.  Making light of the issue is a bit risky when you don't know who is reading it and who here might be directly or indirectly affected by the issues.  Also - cries for help that look like suicide attempts can also be very serious.... what if they accidentally work and the person ends up dead?

I agree that on the face of it, a man falling out of his own car and running over himself sounds very Laurel and Hardy funny.  I like a joke as much as the next ABer, I just think it's a bit mean to take the p*ss out of someone who's suicidal - even if it is behind their back!

Sorry if this causes offence to anyone, that's not intended.  I'm just expressing an opinion to which i feel I am entitled.  Same as you guys were - I'm not telling you to take back your thoughts, just saying I disagree and think you're all big meanies! :-p

baby Jane's sister [Joan Crawford] does it to herself when she is drunk in 'Whatever happened to Baby Jane'.

Perhaps that's where he got the idea from.....

I had an automatic.

I couldn't get it to start, never mind run myself over with it.

Ah! The hidden talents of the Pop Agent ...
