Although I disliked Jimmy Saville during his life time, is it fair that all these allegations are now coming to the surface now he is dead?
/// ‘I was angry that everyone kept saying how great he was.’ Now, she says she wants to see him stripped of his knighthood posthumously. ///
One has to ask why in all those years hasn't this woman and all the others come forward before with their stories?

He has always been a controversial figure, largely because of his being seen as a loner, a maverick, a bit"odd" like many individuals who never marry, and seem hard to "get to know".
The sadness for me is that if the long-standing rumours about him are true it'll only add grist to the mill of the "maverick-bashers"

Whoah...hang on!!!
The crisp lover is DEFINITELY not dodgy in the way that Jimmy Saville was (allegedly).
Let me put a full stop to that right there.
His dodginess is something else.
Also, back to what I was saying - newspapers sit on stuff for ages. Remember when George Michael was done for public indecency in LA?
The very next days the Sun ran photos of him and his then boyfriend...pictures which they'd had for months (remember - at that time he wasn't officially out of eye closet, although many in the industry knew).

Closing ranks amongst the rich and famous is legendary, I had a friend who was a barrister's clerk, and they all knew that a certain judge was being tried for molesting young children, he worked for the defense, and they all knew he was guilty as h***, but it was their job to get him off and they did. He said he felt sick about it all, but could do nothing or he would lose a very lucrative career!
What a world we live in!!

What was so special about Jimmy Saville, the press has never shied away from reporting on others, such as Mick Jagger?
