Sorry i never knew that, now it's starting to make sense why the mp wants all the facts as they obviously know that this poor woman maybe wasn't fully trained or made a mistake in her role.

Could the hospital be sued by the family of the nurse? I would've thought the only people that could sue would've been the royal family.

it's kind of hard to pursue legal matters internationally. I'd have thought there was a strong case that the DJs had been using identity fraud to get at confidential information, much like the News of the World's private eyes and phone hackers, but whether that's a crime in Australia I don't know.

could be; their defence would be that it was just intended as a joke. I think this sort of prank calling may be more common in Australia than here.

All this depends on whether the nurse did kill herself because of this affair - or even whether she killed herself at all. For all I know she dropped dead of a heart attack, entirely coincidentally.

according to any report you read she was a dedicated nurse, kind, caring and diligent, and was duped by these two twerps, the man said that they didn't think it would get that far, that they would be found out long before it got to that stage, it was just a bit of fun i believe is what he followed with. what a load of baloney.

The DJ's should not have played their 'prank'.

The hospital and royal security should have had, and enforced, far more robust protocols than they clearly had given then status of their patient.

I have no idea or particular interest in how the DJs feel as my sympathy extends entirely to family. However, neither do I think they are entirely to blame if it is found that the nurse did indeed kill herself. I fail to see how blaming them helps anyone in this sorry affair.

Likewise, the speculation of armchair experts (myself included since I'm answering this thread) is pretty unhelpful too.

these two people, are just jokey Djs who made a daft mistake - they had no idea this would be the outcome - if it was the storyline of a film you would absolutely not believe it - so lets not paint them as monsters who set out to hurt people and create havoc

the nurse worked for an organisation that was already at the centre of a media circus due to the profile of their clientele (from whom they derived significant kudos and income)

The fact that the nurse wasn't equipped to deal with that and wasn't protected by her employers isn't the fault of the djs who were only doing what has been done a thousand times before.

I have no problem at all with these twerps having to bear the consequences of their actions; my sympathies in this business lie with others. That doesn't mean I have to pick up a pitchfork, though.
