I am not a Chelsea fan but, having watched the ball boy incident from last nights match against Swansea, I feel very strongly that it's the ball boy and not the player who should be severely disciplined. Surely the ball boys job is to return the ball to the field of play as quickly and easily as possible. That kid was clearly trying to keep the ball from Chelsea to assist Swansea. ban him from football for life, I say. You?

I think the ball-boy should have been given a red card too. (Apparently he was 17 years old - I thought ball boys were usually around 12 years old.)
But the ball boys do apparently work under instructions and are told to either return it quickly or slowly depending on the score, so maybe action should be taken against the ball boy manager

I also think the ball boy, who's a dad is chairman of Swansea, wasn't injured anything like as much as his reaction suggested

there's delay tactics and there's delay tactics.! ball boy could play for international rugby team with that hold.....well out of order..but player in wrong too.....I believe ball boy`s dad part owner in Swansea...hence age...nepotism .....

That will be why the parents don't want to press criminal charges then- if his dad is the Chairman he wouldn't want the court to hear that the ball-boy was following club's instructions
