only the most utterly evil, horrific and dispicable crimes should be punishable by death.
(i dont agree with the death penalty, mainly due to misuse of it)
there is still an unfortunate belief with many people that they are immune from the laws in foreign countries - they think being a british (or american) citizen means they will be excused any wrongdoing - i have heard people actually say it with smug smirk!
for some reason they think they can do what they like and the embassy will sort it out and bring them home - they wont and they dont - and i think this is what makes some people take stupid risks.
there were a series of tv ads years ago stating just this, which i think they should still show every so often.

She had no qualms about bringing in drugs to give misery and potentially death to others.
It is well known what will happen to you if you do it out there yet she went ahead.
Will it affect tourism? Possibly a few right-on pot smoking hippies might not go but perhaps they dont want that sort anyway.
No we should not get involved, they should just get on and shoot her.

if guilty then why should they. I don't buy into what has been written that she only did it because her children were being threatened. What was she doing in Thailand in the first place, and where were the children, back in UK? too many missing pieces of this jigsaw. Others are also in the frame with her, so she didn't do this alone..

trigg, there are more questions than answers, and no matter how many articles you read, or watch it on the news some of these have not been answered anywhere. If she brought the drugs into their country, then she should face whatever judgement they see fit, don't we say exactly the same for British justice, even though we no longer have the death penalty.
