It is only moderately good news, and this is because of the deceitful nature of “net” immigration figures.

How about this scenario: People in 1million; people out 1m, “net” immigration zero. Happy? I most certainly would not be after learning that the population had been exchanged to such a degree, especially without knowing what type of people left and who arrived.

The figures show that 515,000 people arrived here in the year to June 2012. Were these all highly skilled people without whom we could not survive, who all make a valuable contribution to the UK and needed no support to house, feed and clothe themselves? And what of the 352,000 who left? Were they all benefit claimants, unemployed or on low pay, thus freeing up affordable homes and unskilled jobs for the newcomers?

There aren't the same opportunities for crime in eastern Europe as there are over here. Our lazy home grown criminals have found they can get more on benefits than they can doing an honest days thieving, so we need these people to come over and take up the slack.
