Oh dear, what a clown.
Can't believe she gets paid £15 grand too for this at the age of 17!

Oops, only just noticed there is already a thread about this!
She is only 1 youth, though ChillDoubt.
I remember my grandparents talking about 'the youth of today' in the 1960s. It has probably always been said
Question Author
Indeed factor, it's was an oft spoken term in my formative years too, hence my use of it!
The big difference here, factor, is it is doubtful that the "yoof" of your grandparents' day were given £15k p.a. of public money to do a job which, until very recently, was not done at all and which was created at a time when the country is said to be suffering "harsh financial cuts".
a typical Guardian non job
anyone else may well have found themselves banged up, even for a short time, her comments were awful.
never mind the yoof of today............what about the police of today. did no one think of doing a background check on this lady before employing her ?
I think it's just that modern institutions still haven't quite caught up with the fact that social media and so on form a large part of people's lives and as a result think them not worth looking at. Which as this case shows is a bit silly, as young people in particular use it a lot and may say all sorts on it. Eventually people will catch on to the fact that what they say on the internet matter. Both the people saying it, and those who should be checking on it.

Plod now involved.

Frankly amazed that she beat 163 others to the job!
Rubbish matters?
Ah, but you should have seen the tweets of the other 163, CD !

The Times , in a leader, quoted the Police Commissioner as saying that this post was needed because there was "a gap" between the police and youths. No, commented the writer, doubting the need for any such job, there is a gap between the police and everybody!

I'm surprised it's taken her so long:

What was the criteria which allowed her to be appointed in the first place. Very odd choice indeed Trigger.
To some extent I feel sorry for her, she's just been a normal teenager (though I never did that sort of thing so maybe I'm abnormal...) and suffered for it by being thrust into the public eye. Not her fault really, only that of the people who put her there. Ann Barnes, I'm looking at you. Never mind that I dislike the whole idea of elected PCCs, but now that you're there at least do a good job of it.

So I see the Kent Youth PCC and Adele lookalike, Paris Brown has quit following her offensive remarks on Twitter.

Never mind, we'll find someone like you.
