why would he have gone anyway, they weren't close, best friends, i doubt that going on what i have read he didn't like her much, so wouldn't it have made him a hypocrite had he attended.

@Em First you accuse Kinnock of cynicism, now its hypocrisy? Politicians on either side of the political debate usually leave their personal animosity to one side on occasions like this, i would have thought..

Kinnock, like anyone else, would have recognised her place in the pantheon of british politicians, and he played his part during those campaigns and debates...
