This is literally the worst thing I've seen in a long time, and I was in Soho the day the nail bomb went off.
I hope the police didn't kill them. I hope they both received extremely painful injuries, but will be fit enough to stand trial.
I cannot even begin to imagine the horror that this lad's poor family are going to go through.
This pair have succeeded in doing one thing alone - in uniting people against this form of barbarism and setting back relations between Muslims and non-Muslims an awful long way.

TWR back of the EDL Griffin talk - 99%+ of Muslims are actually decent people and will abhor this. It's the identification of the 0.something% that is crucial and somehow they have slipped through the net. It is similar to the Irish situation twenty/thirty and more years ago.........
That doesn't mean to say we don't have tighter frontier controls but we have always been a nation that has accepted immigration - back to the Romans and beyond......by the way - which nation (or ethnic/religious group) has the highest criminal rate in England other than Brits? What is it that terrorists don't get? When you sort to the gun, the bomb or whatever, it simply doesn't give you the results you want.
I lived through the IRA bombs in London during the 70s and 80s and they achieved bugger all.
7/7 achieved bugger all.
This is the same.
But somehow...and I'm not sure why - this seems worse. Perhaps it's the immediacy of it. The fact that it was one targeted person? I don't know. Perhaps someone can help me on this...it just seems more horrific...
