Plus the fact, Penelope that not many 91year olds are still out and about 'on duty' with the Queen. As a taxpayer I am quite happy to support him, paying the wages of Minibrain and Balls hurts me a lot more.

unlike royalty mp's are elected .
well I hope that you aren't in hospital with an abdominal or abominable situation, penelope..or we may come with the axe for you.
at 91/92 that is, to be clear....
he's been the patron of up to 900 various societies and charities during his life, not many 91 year olds have a history of such devotion to others, if he gets the best care possible what mean minded person would consider criticising that?

You have a nasty attitude problem there penelope.
Penelope, I've heard that he speaks highly of you too.
I wish him well and hope he makes a speedy recovery!
When the Queen Mum had the hip op, I seem to remember that the Queen was in Sandringham but didn't go.

Charlie was in Kuwait, but went as soon as he got back in the country.

A rather odd family.
I would rather see him well and happy continuing to enjoy his long cossetted existence serving the Monarch, than to die miserable unhappy person with a mean outlook on life. Or is it sour grapes.
I too think he's rude, but having said that, I have no problem with the royals, and he has done his duty. Now, however, I feel he is too old to be expected to continue. I watched the news reports of the past few days and felt quite sorry for him still there on duty. Time for a rest, Phil, old chap!
I wish him well but he has had a good innings. I think his duties should have been cut back a long time ago.
I like Phil, and wish him all the best............
I think he's great and hope he recovers. It's time to for Philip to have a rest.
What rubbish some of you people spout. In answer to DTCwordfan:
I have been in hospital with acute abdominal pain, in an NHS facility, diagnosed with Prostatic Cancer (inoperable). But I wasn't given the privilege of one-on-one care, I shared a bed in a ward of 28 other patients cared for by an overworked workforce. My professional history is of 49 years in the NHS and latterly 5 years in the Private Sector, so I think I can talk with some authority on the 'pro's and cons' of privileged care. Until you've 'been there' and experienced it you have no right to make flippant comment.
Maybe Philip doesnt want to sit in an armchair all day waiting for death to come.
While he is able, let him stroll around and enjoy the rest of his days walking beside his wife. Keep going philip!!!
Prince Philip has done his duty.
Have Hopkirk and penelope2?
Penelope --Who rattled your cage? You seem to have a very embittered view of Prince Philip. Grow up or should I say --'Man up'
wasted years if all it has done is make you bitter towards an elderly royal that has worked tirelessly for decades .
