Youngmafbog, courts decide the punishment not those in gaol. If you are happy with what has happened, why not take the police off the street and let folk attack anyone they feel has done wrong?
@Ccorbyloon

I have no problem whatsoever with what has happened in this instance, I couldnt give a monkeys what happens to him

@answerprancer

stop picking on me, stop trolling mel......if you dont i'll be forced to report you you to admin
Vigilantes are okay then?
again.....

"I have no problem whatsoever with what has happened in this instance, I couldnt give a monkeys what happens to him
"
"why not take the police off the street "

it happened in prison, where they appear to have a different set of rules...
and the sort of people they mete out their own justice to, whom i have no sympathy for whatsoever, and I think the vast majority of the public probably would agree if asked judging by the majority of the replies on this post, only the usual do-gooder mambies seem to not agree
i am -goodieftie,as any of my friends would testify, but this should not have been allowed to happen imo. this deranged young man needed help to understand exactly what he had done and not the kind of justice meted out by the knuckle-draggers. what he and his colleague did was horrifying and shameful but surely the people we should be targetting are the priests etc, who preach radicalisation.
sorry should read - I am not a do-good leftie
It's not about being a "do-gooder" -- and I still struggle to see why that's even an insult. But if the original attack was wrong, which it was, then for me that's because attacking people and killing or hurting them is wrong, irrespective of who the victim is. I was horrified by the attack and murder of Lee Rigby. I am equally appalled (although less sympathetic) by an attack on the suspect.

Call me a do-gooder all you like. Technically, I'm doing nothing other than typing my opinion anyway. But except for self-defence I think that all violence is wrong and I don't particularly care who the victim is.
// this deranged young man needed help to understand exactly what he had done and not the kind of justice meted out by the knuckle-draggers //

Why is the person who killed someone on the street a deranged young man who needs help, and the person who knocked out two of his teeth a knuckle-dragger that metes out justice?
Agreed Jim.

Posts like this always bring lots of responses like these. So most people obviously condone violence to those that commit violence. Eye for an eye so to speak. A previous AB thread only last week asked if there were prisoners who enjoyed beating up others to raise their profile amongst their peers rather than for any moral reasons. It was generally agreed that this was true.

Knitting needles out at the gallows mentality rears it's ugly head again.
"it happened in prison, where they appear to have a different set of rules"

How do you know it wasn't the prison officers wot did it?
Ludwig, good question.
prison officers may have done it...I didnt say they didnt, i just said there appears to be different rules in prisons !
And you have "no problem whatsoever with what has happened in this instance"?

Are you an advocate of capital punishment?

Lucky for him it's Ramadan, won't need to use those gnashers too much anyway.

Now this is the funniest thing I have read all day
"Are you an advocate of capital punishment? "

most definito in a case like this where there isnt any dispute over guilt.

Its a shame that there werent armed police there to remove them from the gene pool at the time of the offence
Bazwillrun, would you be bothered if assaults resulted in murder? Are you saying it's okay for the warders to assault prisoners? What if the police were doing the same thing, would that bother you?
Here we go ...the usual attempts at distortion & pedantry etc etc etc etc

I have said i couldnt care less what was done to this person.

if it was prison officers(unlikely) then i'm sure they will be penalised accordingly if caught.

But I dont care what was done to these trash, nor by whom, I really couldnt care less about them or their welfare in any way or form.
//I have said i couldnt care less what was done to this person. //

Okay - Lets try and frame that in a new Law shall we? - Bazz's law

'Hence forth it shall not be an offence to beat up,maim or kill someone arrested for killing a soldier. No trial need take place to identify such a person, reportsin a newspaper shall be deemed sufficient evidence'

Would that do it for you or would you just prefer we did away with laws altogether?
bazwillrun - "Are you an advocate of capital punishment? ...most definito in a case like this where there isnt any dispute over guilt. "

So you thinkn we should kill people who kill people to teach them not to kill people?

"Its a shame that there werent armed police there to remove them from the gene pool at the time of the offence"

Presumably the policeman obviously guilty of killing someone would also face the same fate, in given circumstances where no weapon or threat was found to have existed?
