Chewn (my predictive text changed that to Vegan) - You are right that the article said detained, my knowledge about police procedures is,thankfully, non-existent.
Mamy - at three he was just a baby. It is a sad end to a short life.
Oh nooo.....fife is just the other side of the forth of forth...about half hour drive ....the family lived there before Edinburgh city....terrible outcome..I felt sure the wee boy was taken with a view to getting him back to Pakistan....so so sad..poor wee mite ....I'm gutted ....if it is the mother to blame...the locals will be in uproar, it's a very close community bit like that where the wee girl was taken and being hid by uncle ..can't remember her name, but she survived....
I have to say that this was one of the elephants in the room for me. Holmes said that when you have eliminated all that is impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. There was no way that this little lad could have dressed himself and left a locked house on his own. Another little boy murdered by a close relative it would seem.
Just when I have finally managed to get the face of Daniel Pelka out of my mind, along comes little Mikaeel. It is sometimes said that a murder of a child by its own Mother is extremely rare, but recent events seems to throw doubt on that. That poor lad...I hope he didn't suffer.
How awful. Shocking and beyond the comprehension of most of us. All those people who rallied round to help too. Is there some relief that children are very rarely snatched from their beds by strangers?
'There's a small bungalow cordoned off and we understand that it belongs to a relative of Mikaeel Kular's mother," our correspondent added.'
