11.06pm Latest update (daily mirror) Police have just confirmed that the body found earlier today was Mikaeel Kular.

They also said a 33-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with Mikaeel's disappearance.

It is believed to be the toddler's mother.

Now they have a body the post mortem will be crucial. It will answer whether it was murder, neglect or an accident.
The youngster had brothers and sisters who have not been harmed so it doesn't fit the killing to hurt the other marriage partner scenario. And the rest of the children are OK so that doesn't fit the possible neglect angle.
Which leaves an accidental death. Possibly the boy died of natural causes or a tragic accident, and the mother concealed it to keep custody of the other children?
We will have to wait to see what the charge is, and the eventual trial for more answers.

As an aside, she is no asian babe. A heavy duty burka would be an improvement in my opinion.

I really don't think it's right to comment on a person's looks in this situation, whether people think she's attractive or not. The woman is in the news because something terrible has happened, not because she wants to be a model.

Some may not care for the Daily Mail, but please even if it against youir principles just look at these superb photographs to witness the great community support over this very sad loss of this lovely little boy.
