I find it rather hard to believe that if his mother killed him, she would leave his body so close to his aunt's house. It may be that mother did lie to Police about his whereabouts at the time of his disappearance but that the little boy did wander off afterall.
RIP little darling Mikaeel. This has truly broke my heart. If someone has killed him, then i just can not begin to understand why? was it accidental or murder, and then they thought to hide/dump the body.....how can someone with the right mind harm a 3 year old baby boy?? I guess the only way we will all know is when the police make an announcement after the post mortem and whether the mum is charged or not, and what she is charged for. We don't know anything, and cannot just make one guilty without the facts. I would like to believe no mother would hurt her child, but unfortunately the sad fact is, this has happened a few times too many now and more often than not, a missing child is linked to a family member or friend. It is just so so sad.
Apparently Mikaeel was a twin, so why would the father just ask for the custody of him? and the lock on the main door of the flats has been broken for a while.
This really upset me, such a sweet looking child, so young, and all so very very strange.
// Yes very sad I think the whole nation is upset at this outcome, no matter how long a child goes missing nearly everyone hopes that there will be a happy ending and the child is found, but sadly as is often the case this very really happens.
One could hear the gasps of sadness coming from the gathered otherwise 'hard shell' reporters when the police chief announced that a body had been found. //
Yes I heard the hacks from Grub St., gasp collectively
but it cant have been a surprise ? A kid out of doors for 48 h ?
Perhaps they felt or hoped it would not be a repeat of little April Jones or James Bulger ....
I also noticed how upset the Police spokesman was when announcing they had found Mikaeel. It must be as hard for them as it is for us to hear about it. Has anyone heard the next update expected a short time ago (it said on the BBC news)
My Daughter lives a little over a mile away and I have to say it's a great community. They really do look after each other. Ann, nothing new on the BBC News webpage yet
