Well, at last we are seeing some progress in this sorry affair...two Policemen sacked and one of them in jail. Who would have thought it...the Police actually being held responsible for misdemeanors ! Never thought I would see the day.

We must never forget that a democratic country like Britain is governed and policed by consent....our consent. If enough people decide that they are going to break the law and riot, that that is exactly what they will do. The Police cannot hope to contain the conditions that exploded those few days in August 2011. Personally I think that the Armed Forces should have been used immediately that the rioting looked as if it was going to get out of control. A controversial move perhaps but remember people died back then.
