So really speaking is he the first unelected prime minister of the Conservative Party , Sort of acting Prime Minister, like some ranks they have in the Army ?
All PMs are unelected by the voters - they're chosen by MPs. Cameron had to get support from outside his party, though he would probably have been able to form a minority government without it.
He is elected and so is the government.
If you are going with the majority/PR/yada/yada/ cobblers then we have never had an elected governement.

Jno, When you say he had to get support from outside the Party do you mean the Public as electors?. or his coalition Partners?.
Tora Tora you vote for the party, via your local candidates. The party chooses its leader
quite Alex but why are you teling me? Tell the OP who appears to be clueless on this?
Sorry Tora but you did say he is elected, which is true but only as an MP. I suspect OP is very young, not an old codger like me!!
he cobbled together a coalition with the LibDems in which he would be PM; so Tory and LibDem MPs approved.
oh, and technically, I think the Queen had to approve, though that could be wrong.

Does it mean that he did not attract enough votes, to win enough seats to be a real Prime minister, and that is why he has to share his title with Nick Clegg
He could have formed a minority government but struggled to get support for implementing ideas
Yes alex I said he was elected that's what I meant.

Farrier, the PM is the PM and FLOTT he does not share his title , Clegg has no title anyway there is no such posiion as "deputy Prime minister", if Cameron died, Clegg would not succeed him. Cameron had to do a deal similar to one made by your beloved Labour in the mid seventies.

If we are talking about total votes then Noo Laybore in 1997 got less hat half the votes too.

Listen mate just trolling about like this makes you look a complete eejit
