Why Are Scottish People Voting Snp
82 Answers
I cant believe that Scottish people would vote for SNP 29% are they completely stupid or something Alex Salmond is a sleazeball manipulative and egotistical where as his sidekick Nicola Sturgeon is desperate for power and completely loves herself. I am Scottish but I am ashamed to be Scottish there is nothing good about this country anymore and I am wondering what hold these two have other voters in my opinion it must be demonic !!

Voting “Yes” in the independence referendum does not mean I hate England or the English people, it does not mean I love Alex Salmond, and it does not mean I want to paint my face blue, don a kilt and shout freedom whilst running around the highlands.
The reason I will vote yes for an independent Scotland is simple. Being independent will mean the people who care most about Scotland – the people who live in Scotland – will be taking the decisions about our future.
The people of Scotland have the greatest stake in making our nation a success. That means we are more likely to make the right choices for our society and for our economy.
It really should be a no brainer for us Scots.

gordie - you seem quite aggressive in your views and seem to be certain of what is best for Scotland.
I have always found that being tolerant of the point of view of others is a good thing - in most arguments there is no clear right and wrong.
Many people passionately believe that successful 'Yes' vote will be the start of good things for Scotland. Personally I have no idea what the best outcome should/would/could be.

jeffa, the assumption made there is that rail services, whether cross border or not, will be as set out in paragraph 111, and will be within the gift of the Scottish government.
they won't be.
the 4 cross border franchises are let by Westminster. for Scotland to let its own competing franchises would be financial madness.

no, it's not the biggest problem you'll face, but it's fiddling detail like that which will trip you up.
no.
the biggest problem you'll face is with YOUR oil (as Mr Salmond describes it). it'll all be gone in 5 years, leaving you with the job of decommissioning the industry. current cost estimate £13BN. that's your biggest problem.
