The CBI has always supported immigration of cheap labour to this country. Most people in business do. UKiP are not the party of business and enterprise, they are the party of petty little englanders.

/// AOG...if Labour were so poor and the Tories are so good, why has immigration still grown under this present Tory regime ? Teresa May is one tough cookie, but even she can't seem to do much about it. ///
Immigration is still growing under the Tories, because they can't stop it due to the fact that we are in the EU.
Even so have you any figures that prove that the Tories have let in more immigrants into this country than Labour have ever done?

/// Of course not but Gill is the subject of our discussion today ! UKIP make a lot of fuss over the immigration issue but here we have a UKIP MEP who seems to have benefited from the situation. I just want him to admit that he is a hypocrite. ///
And you think by entering a thread on Answerbank he is going to respond?
If you chose to enter yet another UKIP slagging thread, then you should expect others to oppose your views, are you not a hypocrite yourself by ignoring some of Labour's faults, especially when there are so many to choose from.

Dont you read the papers or even the posts on here. IT is the EU, that LAbour sold us off to that prevent this happening. That is why other EU countries are also up in alms.
Gromit (and Mickey by association) , spoken like a true EUphile. If in doubt resort to name calling.
Knew it wouldnt be long before one of you resorted to that.

Try looking at it like this, Mikey.
Had the country not suffered a huge influx of immigrants (and I don't blame any one of the main parties - I blame them both) over the years the government would be in a much better position to take harsher measures against those who refuse to work. Companies like those that Mr Gill runs would have been able to employ people already here - whose minds may have been concentrated towards work instead of benefits. Instead many of those already here "refuse to work" so employers have to turn to immigrant labour. That labour is rather like food banks - if it wasn't there it could not be used.

people don't refuse jobs there are not enough jobs to go round, you can have your benefit cut for just being a few minutes late, sickness etc the days of saying no to a job have long gone.
i have explained before the only ones that seem to do ok and have these big tv's are the ones that have kids. lots of kids
it is a shame that a person like you who tries to be so clever has no understanding of the present system
