Did IDS do something really bad to you?
Hague has been moved, not gone.

Oh Come all ye faithful,Resigned or moved , but never sacked or fired ,
One more to go , and then watch the fun.
Farrier, what are you talking about?
I just wondered why your new object of obsession is IDS.
There is already a proper thread been running on this all evening.

Is it actually going to make any difference?
He loves IDS, that's why.
Naomi you asked him that last night and he still hasn't answered! He probably doesn't know;-)
LB, I think you're right.
I see you are a culture club fan!
The spin doctors would say that a slaphead couldn't advance in the world of politics now that its become so image conscious. Do both IDS and Hague give the lie to that?
The Conservative Party break down into several different factions. Unfortunately for Cameron, because he had no majority at the 2010 General Election, he is forced to try to keep everyone on board, which includes perennial failures like IDS who monthly demonstrates he is not up to the job.
If Cameron had a good majority, lightweights such as IDS would be consigned to the fortnightly blue wheelie bin of industry. IDS is only there, and remains there, because Cameron is in a weak position .

Not quite sandy. They'd say the public won't vote for a slaphead. IDS and Hague would be supporting evidence for that. It doesn't mean they can't advance.
My post last night replace industry with obscurity . (a strange auto-correct result).
^ industry still works though gromit. I thought it was intentional.
THague's performance over Syria was lamentable. The policy of helping the rebels was rejected by the Commons and did irreparable damage to his credibility at home and abroad. It embarrassed Cameron, and the Government. I was still surprised to see him replaced though, as he is well respected throughout the Party.
Owen Paterson became a laughing stock over the Somerset floods. He was out of his depths if you forgive the pun. Not surprised to see him sacked.
Ken Clarke has the potential to rock the boat for Cameron, but may sit on his hands if a seat in the Lords has been dangled before him.
Ian Duncan Smith should now be made Minister for Defence, seeing he is the only one who has actually been in the Military.
Ian Duncan Smith is staying at DWP because nobody wants that poisoned chalice that he's created.

It seems as if you don't agree that some strong measures needed to be taken against the abuses of the benefits system.
