What to kill again?
When will they ever learn?

/// When people commit these crimes, I dont actually think they consider the likelihood of actually getting caught or the consequences. ///
Do you really believe that?
That may be the case when a crime is committed in secrecy but these two committed a wilful and horrible crime on a crowded street, did they really think that no one would notice and they would get away with it?

No
In this very unusual case, they threatened armed police and hoped to be martyred.
I don't see why we should grant their wishes by killing them after the event, and at the same time surrender our values related to human life.

/// Ever since Lee Rigby's tragic death, AOG, you have singularly failed to understand the motivation of his killers.... ///
Oh so that is an excuse on their behalf is it?
I know perfectly well what their motivation was, they wanted to brutally murder and decapitate one of our service personnel in revenge for our military daring to get involved in Islamic countries.
Death to the infidel and all that.

Dr Filth it is NOT a minimum sentence ( how often do I have to repeat that on here?)
The 42 years is the minimum time he has to serve before he can even start the process of applying for release on licence. In reality it will be many more years than that , if ever, before he is even granted leave to start the parole application. He will either die in jail or be released as a seriously ill old man with just months to live ( remember Ronnie Briggs ?)
I will not be around to see it but I would take a very large bet that his parole application is never granted.
