In his "sod you lot, I'm off" speech, Alex Salmond says ...

"For me as leader my time is nearly over, but for Scotland the campaign continues and the dream shall never die"

The campaign continues ??

Until the minority ... have imposed their will upon the majority ...

Mmmm ...

Places where that has happened in recent history ... thinks, thinks ...

South Africa under Apartheid?

Are we going to have dealings with a party whose line is ...

The majority have spoken. But, frankly, we don't care about the majority.

If the SNP have any sort of power in Scotland, they rule as a party who have expressed contempt for the wishes of the majority.

That is only ever a bad thing.

"School ground flounce? "You didn't let me win so I'm not playing anymore" "play by my rules or I will take my ball away." Or, he did the decent thing having had a wee slap from the electorate and, rather than wait to be dismissed by his party, left on his own terms instead of teary-eyed after destroying British industry, militarising the police and kicking the...

Wharton says, “don't worry about Glasgow in particular, one missile has the capability of killing 5 million people so the whole country would be destroyed.” In that case, their location is immaterial, and his argument specious.

Not having a nuclear deterrant because people can see it from their living room or kitchen window is an interesting take on mititary strategy. Not dissimilar to attitudes to wind turbines, yet few people complain about the power lines that bring electricity to their houses.
folk are fickle jomifl - the people who a re currently going apoplectic about the possibility of HS2 tearing through their countryside, are the same people who welcomed the M40 through that same countryside 20 years ago.
I do wish sometimes that when people talk about "nuclear" accidents or accidental launches they actually knew how these weapons work. it's not just a case of accidentally launching one, if they are not set and armed properly it's just a chunk of metal....... granted it's contents are toxic but it wouldn't explode
Anyway, warts, if that missile, accidentally, went off in the South of England, everyone in Scotland would slowly starve to death. (shudder)
