Not like you to come over all sensitive about a post questioning your view.
As far as I am concerned, and I am only speaking for myself you understand, your opinion on anything is welcome - as long as it is something you can reasonably know something about.
Other AB'er's motivations - and that definitely includes mine - do not qualify.

Nibble - // It's not for us to dis/approve of their choice, but the family "left" behind should not blame us for their offsprings choices in life. //
A fair point, and to be honest, I don't think they do.
As a newspaper editor, given the choice between a headline where the parents blame themselves, as they obviously do, or a headline where they can be said to blame the police, I know which one I would go with.
One take sells papers, and generates debate, as we are now proving, the other can be taken as read, and doesn't provoke anything at all.

// That would be retrocop.never to shy to express a trenchant opinion//
And you were just saying?? //
Fair cop - busted!
I really wasn't trying to be rude or unpleasant, it was just a tongue-in-cheek observation because you were getting so passionate about your viewpoint.
Nothing wrong there - I admire a passionate opinion in anyone, I have many myself - so hopefully I have cleared up any misunderstanding.

Oh dear. It's lost on you. OK, plain English. You're mistaken. I never allow my sensitivities to override my good sense.

You aren't qualified to decide whose opinions are welcome here or what they are free to discuss. Climb down off your imaginary perch.

Please let me re-phrase - your opinion on anything is welcome - to me.
Is that better?
