DTC - //Easy because something that should have been sorted out behind scenes, no press involved, was brought to the attention of the press through their own News service, the Beeb corporate feeding their own hawks - and in doing so, probably resulting in the destruction of the programme and an income of £150 million a year. Bet they are back in soon asking for an increase in the licence fee. To that - 'Refused' would be my call on that one. //
As has been advised by myself, and others on here - Clarkson was the one who reported the incident to the BBC, not the media, so they had no choice but to act in line with their disciplinary procedures.
Regardless of the amount of money they stand to lose, the BBC thought it might be a good idea to enforce its own rules where physical assault is concerned.
