Anti Scottish!
Am I the only that has been disappointed by some of the anti Scottish feelings that I have read on here? Not the anti SNP as I was against independence but some of the anti Scottish sentiment and stereotyping that I have read.

It's just that, since they seem unable/unwilling to accept the results of a fair and square referendum vote for remaining in the union, perhaps they should be allowed to go ...
... but the rest of us should then be consulted about precisely what they are allowed to take with them - which may well be a lot less than the big wodge of bribes/sweeteners that the SNP seem to think they are entitled to.

"The Scottish First Minister argued that returning SNP MPs to Westminster would “make Scotland’s voice heard” in the UK parliament but said even a landslide of all of the country’s 59 seats would not be taken as evidence of support for another plebiscite.
“Let me be very clear … even if the SNP win every single seat in Scotland on Thursday it is not a mandate for a referendum on independence. It is a vote to make Scotland’s voice heard,” she told the audience at the BBC’s Scottish leaders’ debate on Sunday."

I live in Scotland, I am Scottish and the issue of the referendum has been done , dusted and forgotten , by people residing in Scotland that is. I suppose you would have to be here to appreciate that fact.
That apart...the rest is so passé it's barely worth a mention. It will be regurgitated given it's so close to the election though.
Fill your boots, there's nothing we haven't heard before..it's water off a ducks back to us now.

I don't thinks its anti-Scot as much as anti-SNP. But if the people speak and they vote overwhelmingly for the SNP, so be it. The SNP will be acting as a opposition Party in exactly the same way that every other Party that didn't win the Election will be.
After all, the Labour Party has been the main Party of choice for most Scottish voters for any years, as they have in Wales, but we don't see the same irrational hate towards them.
If Labour isn't as popular as they used to be in Scotland, and the Tories are not popular at all, its their fault, not the Scottish people !

Ahh. anneasquith does have a bit of a sense of humour after all. Bless. :o)
I don’t think the issue of another referendum is ‘done, dusted, and forgotten’, as Kylesmum claims. Despite what Nicola Sturgeon says now, I think in the run-up to the general election it’s merely been conveniently shelved. Watch that space.
