I do rather think they should of seen this coming and taken steps to deal with it. Such as finding someone independant to the shop that would be prepared to decorate cakes.
// The labourer is not only worthy of his hire, he should hold the right to choose for whom he labours //
Interesting, Khandro.
Is this the ultimate right wing, ultra capitalist judgment?
You WILL work for me!
I have money. I have the force of the Law on my side.
You are but a minion.
If I order you to labour for me, you will labour. If you refuse to labour, I will bring the force of the Law down upon you, and you suffer the consequences.

God...I'd hate to be a gay reading some of the nastieness that's been written here...the silly innuendos, the trivialising of lifestyle,genes,birth...and a move to see outdated laws changed. This is so obviously *not* about the cake...that was just a vehicle to draw attention to the bigoted and out of touch attitudes that are still so prevalent. It's certainly done that.
Mikey...regarding your post about the Constitution...if I am not mistaken, the founding fathers never had people of colour in mind when they said all men are created equal.

// Mikey, the Law in NI says Gay Marriage is illegal there!//
yeah but not like shooting someone is illegal there -or robbing a bank is illegal.
and the other difference is that Gay marriage - it is unlikely that you would find anyone to do it - but in Ireland - shooting people and robbing banks is commonplace
but I dont want to stereotype de oirish
