With renewed talk about an in/out EU referendum, how would you vote, given the simple choice of:

  • Get Out Of The EU - 104 votes
  • 62%
  • Stay In The EU - 63 votes
  • 38%

I don't suppose that Dave's pre election promise to have a referendum might have swept him back to No 10 and firmly trounced Labour who have now discovered the winning vote getter. :-)
i am an 'inny' but only under changed conditions for the uk.
No Naomi...only when she died of cancer in 1996.
Why do you always call them old then?
Its a term of endearment Naomi, and your enquiries regarding my late parents are beginning to irritate, so can you please not ask any more inane questions.
Just wondered..... :o)
Well, now you know and won't have to ask again will you ?
what a rude little man.
I voted in, reluctantly.
A case head over heart.
I think that as the country is at the beginning of an economic recovery after the austerity years it would be foolish to leave such a large open market, even if trade agreements could be negotiated.
However I would like to see sovereignty restored, or at least not further eroded, and an end to ridiculous Eu interference along the lines of the straight cucumber fiasco.
:o)
As there is no " unsure " I'll vote here just now to stay in
Agree with shoota. Which contradicts Mikey's theory.
"I will predict that this Referendum will tear the Tory Party apart"

i remember your last prediction and how well some hasbeen washed up group called labour i think it was, where going to do.....

not really a surprise whos managed to derail a simple thread...yet again
I'm with you mickey, let's hope it will be dave's bete noire as well !
OUT asap !!
chaptazbru2, With such a hugely important decision for the future of the country pending how sad that your sole obsession appears to be to see the demise, metaphorically speaking, of a politician.
I fervently hope that people will consider the issues and consequences for themselves and make their own minds up rather than blindly going along with their party dogma and prejudices.
Most of what people object to is not EU - it's ECHR and various other EuroQuangos that won't be affected one jot by whether we stay in or leave the EU.

Economically it would be suicide for the UK to walk out of Europe - talk of 'bilateral agreements' is fatuous - the remaining EU members will be happy to exclude us and/or only commit to deals on terms which favour them ...

... we must stay in and prosper ... or quit and founder in our self-imposed exile.
^ Indeed.
^That was to Shoota.
