The gun laws of each State are different, sometimes drastically so. The Federal Government has no direct control over them; therefore, the way it stands now, the President can do nothing. Although with some major political twists and turns he might be able to bring pressure to change the gun situation in the various States. But keep in mind that you cannot legislate attitudes.
