Eddie...From the BBC link, it says he is resigning from the HOL. So the answer to your question is no.
TWR...why the pity ? By his own admission, he has brought the HOL and his own position into disrepute. I agree with Lady Jane...he had to be pushed onto his sword, rather than fall willingly and 3 days too late. He has left kicking and screaming, rather than in any kind of dignified way. But what kind of dignity can we expect from a man like this ?
To repeat ....good riddance. If he wants to continue to take hard drugs and use the services of prostitutes, than let him carry on.....I really couldn't care less. But he did that at the same time as holding an office in our Houses of Parliament. We should expect and demand better conduct of our public servants.
By the way, it looks as if the Police will be investigating his behaviour.
