The Oldest Gay In The Village

How cool is this guy ...
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -englan d-susse x-33741 380
Every year, he takes part in the Pride Parade ... on his mobility scooter !!
He carries a banner saying " I'm the oldest gay in the village".
In the past, he has been given a criminal conviction for being gay. This weekend, he married his BF, to coincide with Pride Weekend.
That's the way to go when you're in your 90s!

Great joke, sqad. Always been popular, that one.
:o)
After spending Saturday night (and Sunday morning) at the Pride weekend Gay Girls' All Nighter (as an interloper, of course, but I'm not going to miss the best party of the year) ... my threshold for what is, or is not, shocking, has been raised to a whole new level.
All I would say is ... I suspect the men are even more outrageous.

JJ - //All I would say is ... I suspect the men are even more outrageous. //
I used to work in an office with 23 women, and I was the only guy.
I went for nights out with them, and based on what 23 straight women and alcohol can do, I very much doubt that gay men can outdo gay women - straight men can't outdo straight women, in my experience!

I have a small confession about the "Best Answer" ...
I went to "copy and paste" the post, so that I could comment on it ... and touched "Best Answer" by accident.
But then, I decided it was actually a rather nice answer, and that it should stay as BA.
Besides, gness has been very lovely and jolly on this thread, and deserves a BA.

/// This has been a seriously long thread, and a lot of people have expressed a lot of opinions, and yet again, you single me out to battle with. ///
/// I really have no idea why you do this - do I really irritate you so much? ///
Please don't flatter yourself andy, I respond to most ABers who direct their views towards me, it is just the fact that you are the one to do it the most, so it stands to reason that I address you more than others.
And no you don't particularly irritate me personally, it is just the fact that you come across to many as rather pompous in your approach.
/// History will show that I have certainly given as good a I have got, but I do believe that I try to stick to the opinions and not to get too far into fighting with individuals. ///
That statement is precisely what I mean, boastful, pompous etc etc.
/// But again, you are pushing me into a fight, and I am absolutely not going to allow myself to spoil JJ's thread by getting drawn into battling with you. ///
I am not drawing you into a fight, but you must learn to be opposed, just the same as most in debates offer themselves up to be.
/// If you really find my posts so objectionable that you have to pick fault with every single one of them then I think that says more about you than about me. ///
Once again it is not just about me, you obviously find other's posts objectionable, so much so that it was most likely you who had a fellow ABer suspended, for stating views that you disagreed with.
Before we move on, I earlier in the thread typed this, but strangely you did not respond.
Your quote:
/// Trying to pass yourself off as less intelligent than you are in order to excuse lazy thinking doesn't really make it alright. ///
My response,
It is a wonder that you yourself has not been suspended for assuming that a fellow ABer is trying to pass himself off as less intelligent than he is, is surely against Site Rules.

Surely what you said was a personal attack?
Now shall we move on?
