How many of us post pics of children and grandchildren on FB or any other social media site thinking only 'friends' can see.

Hmmm probably not the best choice of words ! lol...just saying...
Talbot -are you really that naive?

lol...me naive ...lol

Thank you, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me.
I didn't see that one, retrochic. How sweet.
I would never post any pics online of friends or family, that is scary.

some people have avatar of their children on public sites

I regularly check my 14 year olds FB page . Honestly some of the cute little girls he went to primary school with are now posting pics of themselves on their FB pages in their bra and knickers -I wonder if their parents know!!
Retrochic - //andy - wrote 'without indulging in meaningless relationships with cyber 'friends'. You do that most days on AB -you are on all day! That's why you haven't got time for FB lol! //

Not really - I have been here since 2000 - there was no 'social media' then!

Plus, we discuss, debate, ask and answer questions, which is not simply trading trivia and daily routines.

So I don't really regard the AB as 'social media' - so I do avoid the rest.
What is so scary then?, if it is just one picture and it gets taken down if you complain?, it is not Freddie Kruger scary or giant spider scary is it?
I can't see what's scary either.
There are lots of kids in parks & shops to take pics of with cell phones etc. I cant see the problem.
That was my thoughts, Tambo.
The only worry is frightening adults from taking kids outside. Lets dispel paranoir
Question Author
Ummmm have you actually read the article? Would you be happy for one of your children or grand children's photos to be used without knowledge or consent for adult 'games'?
Question Author
Tambo this has nothing to do with not taking children outside. Its to do with putting photos of small children online and those photos being harvested by adults for their 'games'.
No I wouldn't be happy but I don't find it all that scary.

Like Tambo says....someone could easily take pictures of kids in the park and use them.
So its Georgy Porgy wants to kiss ALL the girls? If royalty dont mind, who am I to worry
Question Author
Ummmm you must live in a bubble then. Mind you, I guess no one would want to harvest any pics from your FB page that ginger guy is quite scary lol!
On FB a best baby photo competition comes up a lot on there. People share and ask for votes. It is, very suspect and has been linked to dubious people on there. When the link comes up I have warned friends not to participate.
Hahaha....thats wicked Rchic. Have you found me yet, my guy is worse than Quasimodo ;)
He's very very scary!
