Regarding the 'Cecil' costume - you have to ponder whether the dreadful absence of taste and humour demonstrated by the person who designed it, is eclipsed by the dreadful absence of the same from anyone who would actually buy it, and the wear it in public.

Now...I saw that costume yesterday and to be honest it made me smile...not because I found it funny per se, but I find it funny that each year someone tries to top last year's most tasteless costume.
Furthermore, in terms of tastelessness...the Cecil costume is a non-starter compared to:

Talbot - "If I saw someone wearing the lion costume, baz...I wouldn't be offended.
I would however look at them and think... What a ***, ***, ***, simpleton, *** for brains moron. (I wonder what parts will get by the sweary filter)"
None, it seems! LOL!
I have to echo your sentiments though - hopefully I won't be seeing any where I live - might have to make my feelings known!

A interesting point.
But even if people are keen on 'topping' the last , most tasteless costume, it's one thing to do as we have, which is look at the image and form an opinion on it, and share it on here - but it's entirely another to fork out money, order it, put it on, and then go out in public wearing it! That takes a different level of thick-skin I could only dream of!

People need to get a lif and stop being offended at every little thing.
No, I wouldnt wear it - I dont like fancy dress but why should I dictate to someone else.
And for those that are offended, where does it stop? After all i'm offended by you being offended. Should you be banned?

Young....it's not being offended......it's simply being a little puzzled at the mentality of someone who would wear this.....
I love dressing up..... for the fun and the imagination needed to come up with a stunning and appropriate costume......not donning something that makes you look a complete and dim plonker.....

Mamyalynne - " don't find any of it offensive, just laughably sort on imagination - a class of 8 year olds would come up with better ideas for new and original Halloween Costumes."
Indeed - because they would be missing the attention-seeking need to be seen as 'edgy' and 'out there' that is a pre-requisite of the mind-set needed to buy and wear something like this.
