These are accepted stereotypes, the Cecil costume is absolutely specific - even down to the dentist's tools in the pocket of the costume.

Maybe next year, but no sign of those that I know of so far.

Well, it's been a while coming, but finally someone has come up with the 'have a bit of a laugh' defence.
Just to be clear, I have not expressed offence at the costume - that would be because I am not offended.
My objection is the attempt at 'humour' based on the slaughter of an animal - I find no humour in that at all - and that is my only objection.
People have a right to buy and wear the costume, I have my right not to laugh at it, and to express my view, and ask others to do the same.
If you think it's 'a bit of a laugh', then we can agree to differ - but personally, I would prefer not to risk upsetting anyone in the name or 'humour' - there are myriad amusing costumes out there that don't have that effect.
