I don't think our gays know how lucky they are in the UK.
I think Kentucky has a fair share of the good old boys who parade in sheets and white wizard hats. They have a particular down on a certain race and I am sure there are plenty of other rednecks who own plenty of firearms and consider an injustice has been done by a minority group to a good old bible huggin gal.

she's prepared to go to jail for her beliefs rather than recant; not my idea of a "good wheeze". There are recall procedures for some US officials so that public opinion can overturn previous election results; but I don't know if that's the case here.

She was elected but she was the only candidate, her mother held the post for 30 years and she was always the only candidate as well. Looks like there was very little competition for the job!
