TTT - "looks like the bullies have finally won. surprised at all the lefties on here supporting bullying."
I think if you look at this dispassionately, you will see that the only people to have 'won' as you put it, are the people who demanded their legal rights, and have now received them.
I don't think any of the 'lefties on here' support bullying - there has been no bullying, at least not by anyone except this misguided woman who has spent valuable tax payers' dollars bullying people by denying them their rights under the law because of her own religious beliefs.

So the fact that a) the gay propaganda warriors specifically asked for this woman *not* to be sent to jail, and that b) they appealed to the judge to offer a compromise whereby she would be spared jail if she allowed her deputies to sign marriage licences for gay couples on her behalf, even if she did not personally -- a compromise that she refused -- doesn't make a difference?
Long run, she is in prison because she has refused to accept that her religious beliefs must not be allowed to interfere with her official duties, and despite numerous attempts to point this out to her from all sides, she has absolutely refused to listen. Gay propaganda had nothing to do with her being in jail. It's kind of sad to see, as there were multiple alternatives open to her, none of which she has taken.

a victory for those who wanted a marriage licence in Rowan County. I suspect a victory of sorts for the woman herself, who could have avoided going to jail by either doing her job or resigning, but chose of her own free will to do neither, and to take the consequences. A victory for the rule of law in the USA. A win-win situation all round, in fact.
