What's your opinion now , on this recent incident ?

Has it changed following his explanation ?

Personally i don't quite get this 'sport' of hunting animals for the fun of it .

We heard his explanation pretty much from the beginning. Makes no difference to me...he's still a blood thirsty barbarian!
Yes he is a very nasty individual and what he did does not change anything. I do not kill for sport. I haven't actually killed an animal to eat but I would do so if it wasn't endangered.
Lions don't fill teeth or extract them so if we need dentists then he should return to work at his own peril if he wishes to.
I still have the same opinion. Hunting any living creature for human sport is barbaric, regardless of whether the animal is protected.
My opinion has not changed regarding this particular individual, because my opinion of him is the same as it is for anyone who shoots animals for the fun of it.

That said, if what he did was legal and sanctioned, then he has a right to return to his home and workplace - his patients can decide for themselves if they wish to remain on his lists.

The intimidation of his family is absolutely out of order, and should be prosecuted if possible.
Normally in most sports allparties are roughly equal in terms of eqiupment used...so this bloke carrying a gun has a distint advantage....

how hunting is called sport ill never understand
He's rich. he's successful, he's an American and he has done nothing illegal.

Not a good start particularly in the UK who mainly cannot come to terms with the description above.

He, his family have surely paid the price for his indiscretion and a line should be now drawn under the incident and he should be allowed back to his occupation.

I do not like seeing animals killed for fun.
What? People in the UK can come to terms with the rich and successful?
and American....you only quoted a part of my comment.

Just my opinion ummmm, just my opinion for what it is worth.
Whether what he did is "legal and sanctioned" is, in my opinion, immaterial: it's the blatant inhumanity of this activity that is important. Do you notice that in all of his statements he "takes" animals? He doesn't kill or slaughter them.
stuey - "Do you notice that in all of his statements he "takes" animals? He doesn't kill or slaughter them."

It's human nature to soften the harsh realities of life with more pleasant euphemisms.

People don't die, they 'pass over', civilians are not slaughtered, they are 'collateral damage' ... the list is endless.

If this man was to tell himself that he slaughtered defenceless animals purely for the fun of it, he might have trouble sleeping at night.

He might even find himself unable to do it any more!

Now there's a thought ...

You don't read enough English period novels. The dastardly cads/bounders always "take" their women!
I knew he would come crawling out of the woodwork eventually when the immediate backlash had died down, with some paltry excuse and hey ho, here he is. Vile creep !
I am fully aware and cognizant of euphemisms and their usage. In fact I used to play one in High School.
