I agree with Andy here, which is why I gave him BA !
Shaved heads, Nazi salutes, brassy, grim faced women....not the sort of company I would like to spend any time with at all.
Its the Usual Subjects from the far right. Organisations like this always tend to recruit from the same slice of human society as they always do. The EDL especially, seem to get most of their supporters from the ranks of football hooligans.
But the man point of raising this thread in the first place, was to point out how media-savvy the Far Right has become. The National Front and its successor, the BNP, have been exposed as the fascist and dangerous organisations that they always were. When the truly odious Nick Griffin appeared on Question Time in 2009, it was argued by some, but not by me, that he should never have been allowed to appear on the program. But shortly after he did, the future for the BNP were effectively over, and now pose very little threat. Hoisted by its own petard, so to speak.
So the Far Right re-grouped, and they now appear to have tried donned a thin cloak of respectability in BF. Well, that seems to be the case at first, but the organisation is soon revealed in its true colours, at the first examination.
in 2014, BF tried to gain some respectability by associating itself with Lee Rigby, which caused the Electoral Commission to issue an apology, for the offence caused to the Rugby family. In the same year, BF was issued with a request that they remove an image of the British crown from their merchandise.
The EDL got similarly itself into hot water by trying to associate itself with the British Legion.
This is how the Far Right are trying to slip in under the wire, by confusing people, and in its attempt to gain respectability, and we should all be aware of what they trying to do. So next time you see a poster or a tweet, or a post in facebook attacking Muslims, or any other foreigners, look out for the BF logo.
