I know you can't judge people by appearances, but why is it that not one of the people supporting this party look and sound like people you would want to spend above thirty seconds with?

Mikey, to be fair, I've got to hand it to you, you really are the eternal optimist, sadly in our Lifetimes (I'm 64) I think from what I hear from my Countrywide network of Ex Service contacts I think the hard line Muslims mentioned on the previous page will give you far more to worry about than BF (no I don't support BF before you suggest I do).
Balders...You have already said that you do not support BF, and thanks for that ! You were the first to reply to my thread.
Hardline extremist of all colours are a worry and a problem for the future, of that there is no doubt. My point about BF is that they appear to be gaining ground and respectability with their use of social media and misappropriation of British symbols, like the Crown and their spurious association with our armed forces.
But I am still surprised that so few people have joined you and condemning the organisation. Perhaps some people have been taken in by their veneer of respectability !

"VE...do you support BF or not ?"
No. That's because I think it has thugs in it and will attract more.
But, irrespective of their character and real motives, I believe that the Islamisation of the UK (and Europe) is a threat to civilisation. To that extent I support their aims.
I hope that is sufficiently plain and unambiguous.
What you can't see is that there are far more dangerous forces to worry about. When we have a BF version of a Tower Hamlets council , when we have BF councillors and school boards teaching hatred of Jews and gays in the class room (as we had in Birmingham) and when we have BF grooming gangs preying on vulnerable girls in many of our northern cities, THEN, and ONLY THEN, will I take your side.
At the moment your are straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.

Thanks VE, for a very full and frank reply. You say that you support their aims, such as the invasion of places of worship and they have a vigilante wing called the "Britain First Defence Force" They appear to have dropped their stance on abortion, for the time being at least.
I do appreciate that we have a problem with extremist of all persuasions. However, unlike you I do not see Britain is in danger of "Islamization" but that that we should be aware of what terrorists thereat that they may be.

I do not support those organisations on the extreme right and the loons of UKIP and neither the Communists and whacky organisations like the Anarchists or Int'l Socialists to the left. My godson joined the latter as he found the Anarchists too well-organised. I also do not like the direction Labour is taking....too far left and unelectable - the split to come around Christmas/New Year and probably seeing the end of Liberalism and that will be a shame - maybe the Greens will rise as a Phoenix from the ashes as we need a pluralistic political system.
Balders....lets keep our fingers crossed on that one then shall we !
Perhaps the Beeb should invite Mr Golding onto Question Time ....well it worked last time.
After all, Golding has recently announced ( on Facebook ! ) that he intends to stand as a candidate for London Mayor. So I have a feeling that we might be seeing more a bit more of him in the future.

Air-brush the triumphalism, hatred and contempt out of this, Mikey. (Not that I think he'll watch it, folk).
I'll give the rest of you a snippet:
"We come with a message of peace... a message of love...a message of equality..a message of respect. But if anyone speaks out against our prophet we will raise our voices. We will not be quiet...".
There were 3,000 demonstrators bringing their message of love and their threat of violence to this demo.

Not as plain as I meant to be, then. Did I not say I opposed thuggery? I support them only in their opposition to Islamisation. I said nothing about their methods. In fact I doubt even you honestly believe what you've accused me of.

Ah, DTCwordfan!
You're on the wrong thread, DTC. But now you're here what about an expert opinion on political Islam and whether it's a threat to Europe. You know all about the Saudi funding of British mosques, don't you? Just promiused Angel of merrcy 20 more in Germany, haven't they?P erhaps you can explain to the audience why most "British" imams are not home grown, but imports. And where they're imported from.

Mikey; //Its the Usual Subjects from the far right. Organisations like this always tend to recruit from the same slice of human society as they always do.//
You continually use the term 'far right' on this and many other threads. Would you please say how you define that, what does it mean to you? What would you say was the ultimate position of the 'far right'? and why do you think they always come from the same slice of humanity?
