This time the murderer has been caught on dash cam ! Is it any wonder that the black American public are losing confidence in their Police !

These trigger-happy Policemen seem to be out of control. Even with a camera trained upon them, they still continue to shoot innocent people, mostly young black men.

All these Policemen are experienced firearm users. In other words, he shouldn't have needed 16 shots to incapacitate this black lad, even if he did feel threatened, which I don't believe for one moment.

Exactly why we must never arm our police. We have enough problems with the few that are armed, remember the London 'Tube' assassination where a totally innocent man was shot by 4 or 5 armed police?

I don't know then" exact " circumstances, but if my life was threatened, I would shoot to kill, notnjustbtake a chance on immobilising the attacker.

Yes! Yes! I know he was trained, but it is quite a different matter on the heat of a potentially dangerous and life threatening event.

Sqad.....I can't see on the video that he was threatened at all, and anyway, he has now been charged with first degree murder. So I guess we must await the outcome of the pending court case.

In the meantime, community and race relations in Chicago, never very good, does a nose dive.

These " assailants" may turn quite quickly or even worse continue to attack innocent people.

Sqad...American Policemen have been using the excuse " well, he might have been a danger" for too long now. Some of them, at least, appear to be out of control, as there have far too many of these incidents.

I agree with Eddie here.....this is a very good reason for our Police not to be routinely armed.

Some good advice for US citizens; don't engage in activity that causes someone to call 911 on you. That way the police won't turn up and shoot you.

I'm sure they don't randomly shoot at people out of their car window; like a lot of 'citizens' in the US do.
