The current issue has arisen not because Hollywood has a built-in racist agenda...it's because in the past couple of years, there have been very few roles in big bankable vehicles for black people. Hollywood is governed by money, not by race.
Black actors also have to deal with accusations of tokenism (from a minority of people) when they are given high profile roles (cf. John Bodega).
So Hollywood is damned if they do and damned if they don't. Cast a black actor and they're being PC and filling quotas, don't cast a black actor and they're racist.
