TTT - //Andy, so what was her excuse then? //

In common with you, and everyone else on this thread, and the wider world, I have absolutely no idea!

Why would I?
TTT - //"The fact that beheading was used, the fact that it was against an innocent little child, the fact that "Allahu Akbar" was shouted afterwards, the fact that terrorism was claimed .... these facts do tend to suggest Muslim terrorism tactics." - not to the apologists //

If you are working on the 'mouse / elephant' logic, then yes it does 'suggest' a link, but that is simply speculation, unfounded speculation.

Gainsaying that is not the same as being an apologist' as you rather offensively put it.

Suggesting that speculation is not the same as fact does not translate into excusing the woman on any level whatsoever - and that is a nasty and offensive slur to suggest that it does.
This thread is just getting seriously repetitive now.

There you are, TTT. You've said something andy-hughes doesn't like so immediately it's deemed offensive. Still, better than being called a liar for no logical reason. ;o)

Agreed - maybe only somebody who would answer "No" to one of the following questions should bother posting next ...

1) Was she a Muslim?
2) Was what she did similar to the behaviour of a terrorist? i.e. beheading a small child, carrying its head onto the street, shouting "Allahu Akbar" and "I am a terrorist"
Ellipsis - good point.
Ummmm - was that a 'no' on one of the two then? ;)
I think the fact that she was shouting "I am a terrorist" is neither here nor there.
Young children shout "I'm xxxx" when playing at xxx-es
Sorry I missed an x there :-)
They don't tend to be holding a severed child's head in their hand to prove it ...

"Since then, the woman has offered two individual explanations, neither of which are remotely connected to her faith" - and they are .......
Terrorists don't, as a rule, go around shouting 'I am a terrorist'. They usually call themselves freedom fighter, martyrs, soldiers or whatever.
I only mention that because the argument that doing so proves or strongly indicates that she is faulty.
Maybe she is of course -- but I thought I'd just mention it
Didn't Peter Sutcliffe say that God told him to kill prostitutes?

I'm sure that we can agree his actions could not be solely be laid at the door of him being a white Christian?.......and I'm not sure that many would try.
TTT, //"Since then, the woman has offered two individual explanations, neither of which are remotely connected to her faith" - and they are .......//

She hasn’t offered any explanation. A link I provided earlier says this:

• Reports she was angry her husband in Uzbekistan had started a new family
• Others claim she met boyfriend in Moscow then found out he was married

The link confirms that she is mentally ill.

I love the way it says she 'fooled' the medical commission. Ok maybe money didn't pass hands but if I was a betting man ...
If the following are true:

• Reports she was angry her husband in Uzbekistan had started a new family
• Others claim she met boyfriend in Moscow then found out he was married

Then what has her religion got to do with it???

Neither of those things explain why she would murder an innocent 4 year old girl (not even her own/husband's/boyfriend's child). Let alone why she would behead the girl and take the head into the street, shouting "Allahu Akbar".

I guess it's the "Allahu Akbar" that really brings her religion into it. That and the beheading, which is sickeningly common to victims of Muslim terrorism. Maybe you heard the report on the R4 Today program yesterday from somebody from Raqqa who was witness to many such beheadings - if you didn't, it's here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03ksf5k

Make sure you listen to the whole thing (3.5 mins)

This report was broadcast on the morning of the same day that this little girl's murder was broadcast in the news. Perhaps that is why some make the connection to Muslim terrorism (not Muslims as a whole - this report is from a Muslim victim of Muslim terrorism) ...
I heard that this morning, ellipsis. Awful, wasn't it.
But like every other Islamist outrage, the friends of the ROP will tell you, again, 'It's nothing to do with Islam'.
