Is an alleged gang rape, so insignificant these days?
This young woman was allegedly gang raped by seven men on the 6 March.
11 arrests have been made in connection with the investigation, all those arrested (except for one who was released without charge), have been released on bail until May 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 while inquiries continue.
And no, the police have confirmed that they are not Muslims.

Just look at how many times it has been reported.

In all honesty, horrible things happen all over the place very day, but unless you live in the area, you probably don't get to hear about them ///
ummmm
/// Not everything is reported in the national press. ///
Ah! I see, a complete reversal from the usual excuse, that being,
"Due to 24 hour rolling news, we tend to hear more about things these days, than we did in the past".

/// It was reported on BBC, ITV, Mirror, Star, Express and locally. ///
And I chose to use the one outlet which was much closer to the alleged crime, so what?
/// Perhaps you have inadvertantly given the reason for the lack of a Daily Mail repirt. There were no muslims involved ///
Didn't I already state that it was reported that no Muslims were involved?
The fact is we have only recently heard of this.

In which strangely enough a worker at laser hair removal firm Centros Unico said the news “came out of nowhere” and that many employees had been unaware of the crime.
“We didn't have a clue about it here. I can't remember ever seeing loads of police cars around or anything, and I've only heard about it since yesterday.
And if you are interested Richard Littlejohn also asked much the same,

Why have we only heard about it recently?
Simply based on what I have read today.
The Police considered it an isolated incident, they were likely keen to track these people down without alerting them to the fact.
The public were not considered to be at any danger from this group.
They have made arrests and the case will proceed.
Those are my observations.

Iis not the job of the police to publicise crimes, it is their job to solve them. The police do sometimes request the help of the public if they need help, but in this case they didn't. They quickly apprehended the alledged attackers, so there is no reason for the police to alert anyone else.
The shopping centre would not want this publicise because it might put off people going there.
The police can apply to have reporting restrictions imposed, but that does not appear to be the case here.
There is also the matter of Sub Judice, once people have been arrested, then details of the ongoing investigations are not reported for fear of hampering the investigation, or prejudicing the eventual trial.
The legal process is ongoing which is why we are starting to hear of the case. They have attended Court and that is public.
No conspiracy, no police cover up.
