What a very good equation.
I am not an anatomist or a physicist, but for athletics and particularly short distance sprints , there may well be a physical reason.
Eddy makes a good point about O2 saturation at high levels, but now ALL modern athletes tend to train at high levels which evens out the Africans who are born , live and have naturally, more red cells and higher O2 saturation levels.
Now....anatomically, the black African is born with a protruding heel bone (talus) to which the Achilles tendon is attached and due to the bony protuberance, compared to the white male, it forms a greater angle, making the force, acceleration and speed, greater over short distances..e.g 100,200 400 800 and 15,000 metres.
Anyone on AB eg Jim, might be able to explain this if scientific terms.
Separate athletes?.......a physical, demographic and political nightmare.
